The radial flow design helps trap larger particles on the outer layer of the filter, while the inner core can trap smaller particles and extend the capacity and longevity of the filter. This pre-filter is ideal for reverse osmosis applications, food service, and light residential home use.

The second and third stages of the filter are the Aquasure Pioneer Series 5 Micron Nominal Rating Carbon Block, which is designed to filter out chlorine, taste, odor, color, and certain VOCs.
